Summer 2023 GCSE/GCE Examination Information

GCSE/GCE Exam Dates

Year 11 summer examinations will run from Monday 15^th May until Monday 26^th June 2023.

Year 13 summer examinations will run from Wednesday 17^th May until Monday 26^th June 2023.

Contingency day

The Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) has announced that the awarding bodies have designated Thursday 8th June afternoon, Thursday 15th June afternoon and Wednesday 28th June as contingency days, which is being introduced in the event of a national or local disruption to examinations.

Students taking examinations during summer 2023 must remain available up to and including Wednesday 28th June should an awarding body need to invoke its contingency plan.

Study Leave Dates

The study leave dates will be as follows.

Year 11 Students: Friday 5^th May 2023

Year 13 Students: Friday 12^th May 2023

Results days will be:

A/AS Level – Thursday 17th August 2023
GCSE – Thursday 24th August 2023
