Spring Concerts – Thank You

Live music returned to CCHS this week with our Spring Concerts. The standard of playing, the variety of the programme, the joy in the performances, and the appreciation from the audiences – the concerts were a triumph! Women’s History Month: Sian Cleaver

Today we are celebrating the incredible work of CCHS Aluma Sian Cleaver. Sian currently works for Airbus in Bremen, Germany, where she designs satellites and vehicles for space exploration. Sian has appeared on Blue Peter to showcase the Airbus Mars Rover and is passionate about widening understanding of and participation in science.

Laylat al-Bara’ah

Tonight our Muslim community with observe Laylat al-Bara’ah ‘the night of forgiveness’. It is regarded as a night when the fortunes of individuals for the coming year are decided and when Allah may forgive sinners. In many regions, this is also a night when prayers are arranged for forgiveness from Allah for one’s deceased ancestors.

Hola Mohalla

18th March 2022

  Commencing today our Sikh students will be celebrating Hola Mohalla, a three-day long festival where displays of fighting prowess and bravery are performed. Music, poetry and communal meals are also enjoyed. On the final day there is a military style procession through the streets.

  Happy Holi to our Hindu students! The festival celebrates the eternal and divine love of Radha Krishna and the arrival of spring. It is a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relationships. It’s a colourful festival, with dancing, singing and throwing of powder paint and coloured water.
