The Mary Kenyon Poetry Competition

Posted: 23rd June 2025

Many thanks to Caroline Kenyon, Henry Kenyon and Mr Carter, who have judged the entries to this year’s Mary Kenyon Poetry Competition. This is the  seventh year this prestigious competition has been offered at CCHS, thanks to the generosity of Caroline Kenyon and Henry Kenyon, in memory of Mary Kenyon (CCHS Alumna), and the great work of Mr Carter. This year, students from all year groups were invited to compose and submit a short poem on the theme of ‘Connection’. The judges were  inundated with fantastic submissions and it was one of the most difficult years yet for them judge. This year’s winners are, Grace (Year 8), Sarah (Year 10), and Darryl (Year 10). Thank you to all those who submitted their poems and many congratulations to the three winners!
