2015 Leadership Conference

We were honoured to welcome guest speakers; Judith Weir CBE, Master of the Queen’s Music; Entrepreneur Charlene Laidley; and ex-students Mitra Janes and Anna Caffyn to the 2015 Student Leadership Conference.

Following their speeches to students from CCHS and 3 local schools, they held workshops on: ‘The Modern Entrepreneurial Woman’; ‘How Unconscious Bias Impacts your Decision Making’; ‘Making Good Decisions, Quickly’ – a music composition activity and ‘The Civil Service as an Employer and the Qualities of Leadership’.

Jude Worley, who left CCHS in 2014 to join local employer e2v Technologies as an apprentice, hosted, with three male colleagues, a workshop on an apprentice’s viewpoint of engineering.

In the afternoon, CCHS students led workshops on art therapy, team building, dance, yoga, design, self-awareness, self-defence and improving confidence.
