Dr Gemma Richardson from British Geological Survey will be presenting an Institute of Physics and Chelmsford Science and Engineering Society public lecture tomorrow afternoon: “What has the Earth’s magnetic field ever done for us?”. The lecture will cover topics such as how the Earth’s magnetic field protects life on Earth, why space weather is becoming a critical challenge for technology and how we measure and model the magnetic field.
Thank you to Mrs Kurian for arranging this academic enrichment opportunity for students and staff.
