Following her success in Warwick University & The Classical Association’s competition looking for an explanation for the existence of tokens in Roman society, Aathirai in Year 9 was invited to a coin handling session with numismatics expert Dr Clare Rowan, afforded the opportunity to explore a variety of coins in the university’s collection, from the weighty to the unfathomably small, and awarded a book on ancient coinage. An exciting day in recognition of her extra-curricular success!
