Exceptional GCSE results 2016

Posted: 26th August 2016

Our students have achieved the expected outstanding results with 88.50% A*A, 54.82% A*, some of the very best results achieved at CCHS.  These results will stand as a firm foundation for successful study at A Level in our Sixth Form.  Congratulations to the students and their teachers!

Exceptional results were achieved by:  Olivia Wheeler who gained 13 A*; Amanda Brick, Melissa Brooks and Elinor Loxton who gained 12 A* each, and the students who achieved 11 A*:  Vinisha Agrawal, Jenai Chinoy, Lucy Jessop, Emily Morgan, Manaswini Pillai, Harshana Sangtani, Harriet Smith, Catriona Wade, twins Katie and Rosie Schofield, in the same subjects.

Our budding engineers achieved near perfect results with 97.5% A*A in the Engineering Double Award; this was equalled by RS 97.8%.  Other exceptional subject results were achieved in Graphics 92.3%, Drama 93.18%, German 95.95%, Latin 94.3%.  Our Maths and Science results remain high with 91.67%, 85%, 88.33% and 81.67%.

Following 2 years when our EBACC figure was affected by the non-recognition of our Chemistry results within the EBACC suite of qualifications, CCHS is back where it should be with 100% EBACC.
