Chelmsford County High School for Girls is currently undertaking a consultation on its Admissions Policy for entry in September 2020. The School is proposing to amend its over-subscription criteria for entry in Year 7. The changes are particularly designed to prioritise admission to girls eligible for the Pupil Premium thereby increasing the opportunity for disadvantaged children to obtain a place at the school but will also affect Looked After and Previously Looked After children. At the same time the School is increasing its Year 7 student intake by one form of entry from 150 to 180 students per year with effect from September 2020.

The statutory 6-week consultation period runs from 8.00am on Saturday 8th December 2018 to 4.00pm on Friday 18th January 2019. Any responses to this proposal should be sent to Mrs Wendy Newton, Clerk to Governors, before the end of the Consultation period via any of the following methods:
