During the summer holidays of 2018, the School completed a refurbishment of existing facilities. This included converting an older classroom into two modern teaching areas and converting a further classroom into a space suitable for lectures and House assemblies. The new spaces have already proved very popular with students and staff alike.
The Better Buildings Committee is now working on identifying another refurbishment project for the summer of 2019 and will be announcing further details along with a fundraising target shortly.
Phase One of the School’s long-term campus development plan includes the construction of a new Sports Hall and a new teaching block to replace Bancroft. Plans have been drawn up in conjunction with the School’s professional advisors and a funding bid is being developed. If successful, it is envisaged that building work will commence in 2019.
The School is experienced in managing a large scale building project following the completion of the Dame Margaret Anstee Centre for Languages in 2013. Detailed plans for the new building work are being drawn up to ensure minimal disruption to the life of the School. More information will be provided once funding has been secured.
