Building a future for our girls

Chelmsford County High School strives to provide an all-round education that enables its girls not only to achieve their best academically, but also to benefit from a broad and enriching experience beyond the classroom.  For the School to continue to be successful in this quest we need to provide an environment and facilities for a truly 21st century education, and to this end, we have clear plans to develop the campus further.

We are very fortunate that we have been awarded a substantial grant from the government for a new sports hall and teaching block, however this money can only be used for the buildings and cannot be spent on science and PE equipment, or the urgent modernisation work that is required to bring the swimming pool into the 21st century.  We therefore need to raise approximately £200,000 to cover these costs, and have launched the ‘Building A Future For Our Girls’ Appeal to assist with this goal.

How can you help?

There are a range of options that we hope will allow the majority of parents and former pupils to participate:

  • You can ‘Buy a Brick’ for £50 and have a name engraved on a specially reserved wall in the new building to last for many generations as part of the School’s rich history.
  • For those who are able to donate £1,000 or more, there will also be a donor’s board in a prominent place where names will be displayed.

The School has  an online giving page via Totalgiving.

We hope that all parents, former students and supporters of the school will want to help us to invest in the future development of the School, not only for the benefit of our current students but also of the many generations to come.  Thank you for your support!
