Many thanks to Caroline Kenyon, Henry Kenyon and Mr Carter, who judged the entries for this year’s Mary Kenyon Poetry Competition. This is the eighth year that this prestigious competition has been offered at CCHS, thanks to the generosity of Caroline and Henry Kenyon, in memory of Mary Kenyon (CCHS alumna), and the great work of Mr Carter.
Students from all year groups were invited to compose and submit a short poem on the theme of ‘Light’, and it was a real pleasure to read through all the fantastic submissions. It was clear that the theme had been interpreted in many different ways.
This year’s winners are Mariam (Year 9), Chrissie (Year 11), and Theia (Year 12).
Thank you to everyone who submitted a poem, and many congratulations to our three winners!
