Required January 2020
Chelmsford County High School for Girls is one of the most successful girls’ selective schools in the country. This is, therefore, an ideal opportunity for a well-qualified teacher of Chemistry, or an NQT to gain experience teaching some of the most motivated and able students in the country.
We also offer a Chemistry Graduate the opportunity to train with us under the tes institute scheme which the School is familiar with implementing. It is a great opportunity to be paid as you train.
This is also an exciting opportunity to join a thriving and dynamic department, with outstanding students, staff and facilities. We are seeking an excellent classroom practitioner, who is passionate about Chemistry, has the ability to drive students to great success and is willing to contribute to the life of the school. Chemistry is highly regarded in the School, achieving excellent results at GCSE, and A Level (AQA for GCSE and OCR for A-level). There will be opportunities to teach across the age range. All students study the subject at GCSE and Chemistry is a popular option in the Sixth Form with a total of 125 students.
We welcome applications from teachers in all sectors of education.
The Governing Body is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share in this commitment. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS Clearance.
