Mathematics - Maths Fayre 2005

On Monday 4th July, eight Year 5 students from each of our 5 partner Primary Schools came to take part in a team version of the Primary Maths Challenge.

They operated in a sort of relay, not getting the next set of questions until they had given in the previous ones. This generated a sense of excitement and urgency. The teams of 4 worked well, despite having 2 from each of the two schools (aided by a nice little lunch together first).

They also had some slightly more practical, extended team questions.

Everyone seemed to enjoy it. All got a certificate, and the top 3 teams an extra recognition of their performance.
