ICT is taught within the curriculum in Years 7 to 9. Students experience an hour of ICT a week in Years 7 and 8 and currently experience three hours per fortnight in Year 9.

The current Year 9 is completing a GNVQ course, although they are the last year group to do so.

The current Years 7 and 8 are following the KS3 ICT Strategy and this will be continued through to Year 9 from September 2005.

ICT is taught in a cross-curricular fashion at KS4.

We have two ICT suites with 30 workstations and a whiteboard and this enables all ICT lessons to take place in suitable accommodation. When free, these rooms are booked by other curriculum subjects.

GNVQ

ICT is delivered as a discrete subject in Year 9 to all students, where they follow the GNVQ ICT course using Thomas Telford online materials.
