The Technology laboratories are located at the right of the main school building. Technology was introduced as an examination subject into the school in 1995. Since then, the subjects offered and the accommodation have undergone major changes, this process accelerated by the award of Technology College Status.

The Technology Faculty now has three modern rooms in the Technology Suite plus two preparation areas. There are two networked suites of computers in two of the rooms with projectors, interactive whiteboard/graphics tablet. There are two cutter/plotters and two engravers. Specialist A3 printing is available in each room.

Technology clubs run at lunchtimes, where students can participate in karting or brush up on GCSE coursework, or manufacture proprietary kits. Extra clubs run when competitions approach, e.g. Minimal Mouse or Engineering Society.

Design and Technology is a compulsory subject at Key Stage 3. The focus is on the development of ideas, planning, producing products and evaluating them.
