Specialist School Status

Introduction

CCHS was originally designated as a Technology College, (with Maths & Science), in 2000 and re-designated in 2004.

As a High-Performing Specialist School we were then invited to apply for a second specialism, becoming a Music College, (with English), in 2005.

A third specialism, Language College, was added in 2006.

We are now amongst a small and rare group of schools in England, to hold triple specialist status. Following our ´outstanding´ Ofsted Report in September 2007, all 3 specialisms were simultaneously re-designated, from September 2008.
