Old School photographs

Centenary

With the exception of the Sixth Form photograph that was professionally taken the rest are enlarged from small snaps probably taken on a camera owned by Phyllis Boreham's family or just possibly by one owned by Hilda Clark's family.

Hilda and Phyllis were cousins and both at CCHS until 1924.

Jean Sargeant a CCHS old girl (1932 - 37) owns the photo album which is now in poor condition. She inherited it from Hilda Clark her mother's cousin.

Some of the photographs were taken in Little Baddow. They include the 5b picnic, the girls gathering bluebells in Blake's wood, Miss Poulson, Miss Blacker (by the Chelmer & Blackwater canal) and probably Miss Staniforth.

All were taken between 1920 and 24.
