Student at Chelmsford County High School 1985 to 1991

Dinah disappeared, aged 18, in August 1991 having just completed her "A" Level exams. The school community was deeply saddened, in November 2007, to learn of the formal confirmation of her death.

Those staff who remember her remember her fondly as a sweet girl who worked hard and achieved well. The school was very shaken by her disappearance at the time.

A fund is being set up in school in memory of Dinah. Cheques should be made payable to Chelmsford County High School for Girls.

Proceeds from the fund are to go to the Police Fund for Widows and Pensions and also the Missing People's bureau in recognition of the efforts of both organisations to find Dinah after her disappearance.

Our thoughts are with Dinah's family and friends.

If you would like to leave a message of condolence then please e-mail dinahmcnicoltributes@cchs.essex.sch.uk - these will be forwarded on to Dinah's family. Mr McNicol is very touched by the number of comforting messages he has already received. He would like to contact those who write to him and has requested that you provide your telephone number so that he can contact you.
