Improvements to bus services 70X and 352 from 12th January 2009

Commencing Monday 12th January 2009, First will be making some improvements to service 70 and adding some additional through journeys between Chelmsford and Halstead.

Mondays to Fridays, Service 70 and 0650 (0655 during school holidays) from Colchester to depart 5 minutes earlier at 0645 (0650 school holidays), calling at Braintree Bus Park at 0745, with additional running time between Braintree and Chelmsford.

There will be a new sevice 352 journey at 0725 from Halstead, due at Braintree Bus Park at 0757, this will be an additional through bus, continuing to Chelmsford as a service 70X departing Braintree Bus Park at 0800 by-passing Great Leighs and Little Waltham and calling at Broomfield Hospital at 0824 and arriving at Chelmsford at 0845.

In the afternoon, the 1545 schooldays-only service 70 journey will continue as a through bus as service 352 to Halstead, departing Braintree at 1635 and arriving Halstead at 1704.

Additionally, there will be a new 70X journey from Chelmsford at 1715, by-passing Little Waltham and Great Leighs, arriving at Braintree at 1756. This will then continue at 1758 as a through service 352 bus to Halstead arriving at 1827.

The 1720 service 70 departure from Chelmsford to Colchester will depart at 1725 and operate 5 minutes later throughout.

Transport Note from Stephensons Buses - Thursday, 17th September 2009 students who normally travel on the 630 bus from Danbury can they now please take the 510 bus.

This may become a permanent measure, but we will advise in due course. The students 630 passes will be valid for the 510 route and will pick up at normal time.
