The following article was reported in the Brentwood Weekly News this week.
Chelmsford County High School for Girls were ranked thirteenth in the recent league tables for GCSE.
The girls school, also in Broomfield Road, was ranked lower than KEGS in the A Level top 200 table in 34th place but 99 per cent of students achieved at least three A Levels.
Nicole Chapman, headteacher, said she was “pleased” with all students’ results.
She said: “The progress measure is particularly impressive for our school and confirms that in achieving the best results ever for the school, our students made significant progress.
“What the tables do not show is highly relevant for our school is the percentage A/*A at GCSE which was nearly 90 per cent. “When interpreting tables it is essential to understand what the figures actually mean and therefore how little difference there can be between some schools’ results.”
