Chelmsford County High School for girls lends its support to a number of charitable organisations throughout the academic year. The school holds a weekly charities meeting which is attended by elected charity prefects and where topical issues and fundraising ideas are discussed. Notably, in the last year students have raised a large sum of money for breast cancer awareness month and are currently collecting Christmas presents for the local housing shelter, CHESS. We successfully supported this charity in a similar way last year and are hoping to increase our support this year. CCHS students are enthusiastic and creative in their approach to charity and it can be said that while exploring the school, you are very likely to encounter a charity cake sale or two.
