Admission to Year 7 September 2021

CCHS Entrance Test for September 2021 Entry

We are contacting all parents who have registered their daughter to sit the CCHS Entrance Test at Chelmsford County High School for Girls in the Autumn of 2020 (for admission to Year 7 in September 2021) to update you on our planning.

Please note the following points:

  1. The earliest provisional date for the CCHS Entrance Test will be during the week commencing Monday 28th September 2020.
  2. The entrance test will not take place on the original date of Saturday 12th September.
  3. We are awaiting guidance from the DfE before we confirm our plans, but for reassurance, please note that safety will be our guiding priority in all of our planning.
  4. We cannot provide any further details at this stage, but advise candidates to be prepared to be tested on any day of that week.
  5. Testing arrangements will be sent out by first class post on Monday 14 September 2020.
  6. Please note that these test dates could change if circumstances and/or Government guidelines require us to do so.
  7. All changes will be advised to you via email and updates posted on our School website.
  8. Parents should be aware that we may be requested to delay testing until the week commencing 19 October.

Registration for the entrance test closed at 4pm on Wednesday 24th June 2020.

 Open Evening

We are delighted to announce that our Open Evening, scheduled for 18 June 2020, will now be a Virtual Open Event. You will be able to experience life at the school by viewing a film from the comfort and safety of your own home. Our Headteacher talk and speeches by our Year 7 and Year 12 students will be available for you to listen too, at a time and place to suit your daughter and family. There will also be the opportunity for you to submit any questions and receive support in completing your daughter’s registration for the entrance test.

We will keep our web-site up-to-date and would ask that you regularly check back for the latest information.
